The Central Mourning Convention will be held in Islamabad following all the districts of South Punjab, Allama Iqtdar Naqvi

Shiite News: Allama Iqtdar Hussain Naqvi, Provincial Secretary General, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, South Punjab said that baseless cases against mourners across the country, restrictions on mourning and unwarranted arrests have been made in South Punjab before Muharram. Mourning conventions will be held in all the districts of Punjab, followed by mourning conventions at the provincial level and then the Central Mourning Convention in Islamabad.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Provincial Cabinet of MWM South Punjab at Jamia Masjid-ul-Hussain New Multan which was attended by Deputy Secretary General Saleem Abbas Siddiqui, Muhammad Asghar Taqi, Allama Qazi Nadir Alvi, Mehr Sakhawat Ali, Nadeem Kazmi, Zaeem Zaidi, Ajmal Shah, Safdar Hussain Khan, Fahim Jaffer Advocate, Tahir Khurshid and Thaqleen Naqvi.

Addressing the meeting, Allama Iqtdar Naqvi said that it was unfortunate that cases were registered all over Punjab and especially in South Punjab for holding Yom-e-Ali, Al-Quds Day, Janat-ul-Baqi Day and Majalis as the government is busy in conspiracies against Millat e Jafferia before Muharram. We want to tell rulers of time that we are a peaceful nation and we know how to defend our rights. Our history has shown that whenever a ruler has conspired against mourning, he could not stay in power for long. We demand to t he Punjab government and especially the claimant of the state of Madinah ,Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan that the baseless cases made all over South Punjab should be revoked immediately.

He further said that in the first phase mourning conventions would be held in all the districts, in the second phase mourning conventions would be held at the provincial headquarters and at the end a central mourning convention would be held in Islamabad before Muharram to announce the next line of action. He further said that Multan is the center of peace but the situation is being aggravated in a systematic manner by registering more than 20 cases on the occasion of Yom-e-Ali alone. The government should come to the right path otherwise the responsibility of the situation will fall on the administration.
