Sunni cleric Mufti Raghib Naeemi lambasts Deobandi takfiris
Eminent Sunni Bralevi cleric Mufti Raghib Naeemi has lashed out at Deobandi takfiris for not offering themselves for scrutiny and accountability before the law. He offered his religious seminaries for audit and accountability.
“As Shia Muslims says they have no objections to accountability of their seminaries, I too offer my Jamia Naeemia and affiliated seminaries for accountability because we are not involved in any sort of fanaticism and terrorism or corruption,” he said in the MWM’s Rasool-e-Amn (Prophet of Peace) Conference in Lahore recently.
He said that the government needed no permission from any Tanzeem ul Madaris for scrutiny of our seminaries. He said that those who were trying to escape the scrutiny, audit and registration policy of the government knew themselves well so they impeded the accountability process.
“There is something black in the bottom so far as these anti-accountability seminaries are concerned. Why they oppose the audit, scrutiny and accountability and why they don’t want registration of the Madaris,” he asked.
Mufti Naeemi who lost his father Mufti Sarfaraz Naeemi in a suicidal takfiri terrorist attack at his seminary in Lahore, expressed surprise that terrorists were targeting Sunni and Shia Muslims, their congregations, their mosques and Imam Bargahs and they never bombed Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtima (Deobandis Congregation to Preach) in Lahore.
“If you say that terrorists have no religion then why do you offer namaz-e-janaza for the dead terrorists and why do you call the dead terrorists as martyrs,” he asked the Deobandis to clarify their position on takfiris within their ranks.
Sunni cleric said that if they talk of ban on celebrations on birth anniversary of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that we call Eid Milad ul Nabi (PBUH), then we demand there must be a ban on Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtima (of Deobandis).
