Demolition Day of Janat-ul-Baqi, nationwide protests, demand for reconstruction of shrines of Ahl-e-Bayt and companions of Prophet PBUH

Shiite News: Protests and rallies were organized in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, on the occasion of the International Day of Demolition of Janat-ul-Baqi on the 8th of Shawwal today against the demolition of Janat-ul-Baqi Cemetery by the occupiers of Al-Saud in the vicinity of Mazar-e-Rasool-e-Akram. Mourning Congregations and Protests were also held in different cities of the country including Gilgit, Skardu, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Activities were organized under auspice of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Tehreek-e-Nifaz Fiqh Jafaria, ISO, Shia Ulema Council and other national organizations along with large number of mourners.

The main protest in Karachi was organized by Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jaffariah outside Karachi Press Club in which various scholars, honorable Zakireen addressed the gathering, participants strongly condemned this heinous act of Al-Saud and desecrated the holy shrine. Demanded reconstruction. On the other hand, the ISO students also staged a protest at the Karachi Press Club.

A mourning procession was taken out from Alamdar Chowk to Darbar Sohaili Sarkar under the auspices of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Muzaffarabad District, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jaffariah, Muzaffarabad and mourning group Dua Zahra-e-Doomil Syedan. On this occasion, the mourners of Syeda Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) participated in large numbers. Along with the lamentation, slogans like “Death to Al Saud, Death to America, Death to Israel, Death to India” were chanted.

Speakers said to congregation that today is a darkest chapter in the history of Islam as Al Saud, demolished the mausoleum of the daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Jannat-ul-Baqi and hurt the hearts of the entire Muslim Ummah, at the behest of the then imperialist powers and other satanic forces ۔ Today’s protest strongly condemns said incident and at the same time urges Saudi Arabia to give us the opportunity to build the mausoleum of Janat al-Baqi. We will build the mausoleum of Janat al-Baqi ourselves.

The speakers further said that today’s protest strongly condemns the ongoing atrocities on the oppressed all over the world including Palestine and Kashmir. In the end, Secretary General Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Muzaffarabad District Syed Ghafran Kazmi, President Tehreek-e-Nifaz Fiqh Jafaria Muzaffarabad Syed Bilawal Kazmi, Salar Mourning Squad Dua Zahra Salam Alayh Syed Aqib Kazmi paid tribute to all participants for participating in the protest and showing national awareness.
MWM and Asgharia staged a protest rally from Qalandari Imambargah Naseerabad to Press Club. The rally was led by MWM district leaders Zawar Habdar Ali, Syed Qarar Haider, Syed Akhtar Hussain, Maast Ali, Ikhtiar Ali and Sherzad Ali.

Addressing the rally, the leaders said that the Aal e Saud had committed blasphemy in 1926 by demolishing the holy shrines of the family members and companions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) in two ancient graveyards named Jannat Al Mua’la, Mecca and Jannat Al Baqi Medina. We strongly condemn said heinous incident. They demanded that the holy shrines of the Holy Prophet’s daughter Syeda Fatima Zahra salam ullah alaiha, the wives of the Holy Prophet, the family of the Holy Prophet and the Companions of the Holy Prophet be constructed as soon as possible.
