Punjab: Two mastermind of Khanpur Shia procession blast arrested

Punjab Police with the help of Intelligence agencies were arrested the two main mastermind of Khanpur Arbaee’n (Chehlum) procession blast from Muzaffargarh district Southern Punjab.
According to the Shiite News, The Police has arrested the Shakil Malik and Shabbir alias Shabro of outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba (Yazeed) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi over their involvement in Khanpur blast claims more than 20 precious lives of Shia Muslims.
 
The Intelligence agencies and local police also foiled a terrorist plot and arrested 12 more terrorists from the rural area of Muzaffargarh district and seized huge quantity of explosive material.
Official sources said,” On the report of secret agencies, a police party headed three DSPs of Muzaffargarh – Muhammad Khalid Daha, Riaz Bukhari and Iqbal Hassan Shah – have arrested two alleged saboteurs and seized 400 kilograms of explosive material from their hideout in village Ravancha (Jatoi) in Muzaffargarh district and another three were held on their pointation.

DPO Muzaffargarh Munir Ahmed Zia said,” We have taken a number of culprits and seized huge quantity of explosives from their possession”.
Explaining the details, he said Shakil Malik and Shabbir alias Shabro were taken into custody for their suspicious activities.

Later Abid, Abdul Khaliq and Majid were arrested from a local religious seminary” Jamia Dar-ul-Islamia Jatoi.

Police said all the accused were being interrogated by the team of experts to reach to their mastermind.

CPO Bahawalpur Abid Qadri said they were also involved in Khanpur blast which claimed the lives of 20 people during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his family.
