PDM leaders accused of getting funds from foreign countries to run campaign against the incumbent government of Imran Khan-led PTI.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari have expressed these views, separately.

The PM shared his views, while talking to senior journalists. He said some countries don’t want Pakistan to make its economy stronger.

Meanwhile, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari on Wednesday said the government had information that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) — an alliance of 11 opposition parties — was receiving foreign funds.

In an exclusive interview, Mazari said “a lot of foreign funding is being received” by people who are involved in the PDM.

While elaborating on the claim, Mazari said it had come to her knowledge that that evidence was now surfacing regarding funding for the opposition alliance from abroad.

She said she had heard of (the government have found) a lot of evidence regarding funding and encouragement.

Mazari further said that you know Pakistan has dissident groups abroad. She said every country has them.

Furthermore, she also referred to dissident groups from Pakistan are living abroad and after all they are receiving money from somewhere.
