They marched to police stations where police registered cases.

Shia Muslims commemorate anniversary of Chehlum or Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (AS) and other martyrs of Karbala.

However, this year, police launched a crackdown and witchhunt against participants of this regular annual event.

Since police action is illegal, unfair and unjustifiable, Shia Muslims are protesting against the biased and discriminatory witchhunt.

Notably, Shia Muslims in Khairpur district reached police station in Kumb and asked police cops to arrets all those thousands of mourners.

They sat outside the police station and also offered prayers there.

Moreover, they condemned brutal police action and false cases against peaceful Shia mourners.
