Qamar Zaidi supporters sit in Bahawalpur to protest 4th schedule inclusion of the notable of their city.

The supporters held a sit-in protest at Fareed Gate and rejected the decision of IVth scheduling of a law-abiding Shia Muslim notable. They called it a biased decision to victimize Qamar Zaidi because he leads 26th Safar mourning congregation.

Protesters were carrying banners and placards. They also raised slogans against the biased and victimizing decision.

Moreover, they demanded the government and district administration to immediately withdraw false cases which police registered against him.

They also demanded lifting of ban on Qamar Zaidi’s entry into Bahawalpur city.

Meanwhile, many Shia Muslims have made it clear to order security agencies to respect Constitutionally-guaranteed rights of all Shia Muslims.

They said that Shia citizens of Pakistan have been suffering from discrimination and sort of genocide and pogrom besides persecution since long.

State authorities must not violate legitimate and fundamental human rights and religious rights of Shia Muslims in Pakistan.

They said that takfiri ideology, takfiri outfits and private militia are unconstitutional but efforts are being made to divert attention from them through raising non-issue.

Furthermore, they said that state institutions must be purged of fifth column who patronize outlawed takfiri terrorist outfits.
