Shia Zakireen meet MWM leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and vowed to work to strengthen intra-Muslim unity.

Both sides exchanged views on current situation and later addressed a joint press conference.

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan secretary general and other leaders made it clear that they will continue to have unwavering faith in Shia Islamic principled: Tauheed, Adl, Nubuwwat, Imamat and Qayamat.

They made pledge to work for unity of Shia Muslims and Sunni-Shia unity without compromising Shia Islamic principles.

Furthermore, Shia Zakireen and MWM leaders deem contempt of Sunni sanctities as forbidden according to decrees and guidelines which Shia Islamic jurisprudents have issued.

They also vowed to ensure respect of azadari, Supreme Leadership – Shia Islamic jurisprudents and Saadaat.

Shia Zakireen and MWM leaders said that Arbaeen-Chehlum anniversary would mark Sunni-Shia Islamic unity.

They asked all Hussainis and Azadars to largely participate in Chehlum anniversary of Great Leader of Martyrs Imam Hussain and companions.

Both sides also paid homage to martyrs of Pakistan, including civilians and security officials.

They reiterated their support for martyrs of Kashmir. They vowed to preach peace and harmony and counter nefarious designs of enemies.

Moreover, they demanded withdrawal of FIRs which police registered against azadars, Ulema and Zakireen and notables.
