Senator Sherry Rehman alerts Senate on Shia genocide and outlawed outfits’ activities during its session on Friday.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s lawmaker expressed concern over rise in targeted murder of Shia Muslims and government’s patronage of outlawed (takfiri terrorist) outfits.

Ms Sherry termed extremism in Pakistan sensitive and dangerous. She expressed concern over hate campaign against Shia Muslims in the country.

She called for immediate action against outlawed (takfiri terrorist outfits). She reminded that action against banned terror outfits was nodded in National Action Plan (NAP).

Furthermore, Senator Sherry said that we cannot remain silent over this sensitive matter. She said each and every citizen of Pakistan need security and government need to ensure their safety and security.

She said banned terrorist outfits were taking out rallies all over the country. This situation has scared minorities in particular. Hence, she suggested government should issue a policy statement, in this regard.

Meanwhile, Senator Rehman Malik rejects ASWJ takfiri slogans as illegitimate and illegal and also expressed concern over outlawed outfits’ activities.

He expressed these views, while talking to the media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad today.
