Veteran Shia Islamic scholar and head of Shia Islamic seminaries delivered Friday prayers sermon at Jamey Masjid Ali at Jamiatul Muntazir Lahore.

He said that some elements were trying to present Sahaba (the companions) in front of Ahle Bayt (AS) to fan sectarianism in Pakistan.

He said that in earlier centuries of Islamic history, Muslims had no bias and followers of Ahle Bayt had others live amicably. But after that, some mischievous miscreants and corrupt elements divided Muslim Ummah.

However, he also stressed the need for internal reforms. He called for highlighting salient aspects of sacred lives of all the 14 infallible leaders Islam.

Allama Riaz Najafi also spoke on importance and benefits of moral values of Islamic society.

He said that moral crimes rose because people forgot God Almighty. He said people don’t repent even after visits to graveyards.
