MWM observes Hurmat Quran and Namoos Risalat Day across Pakistan today (Friday).
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan held rallies and demonstrations on Friday to protest against sacrilegious caricature of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Charlie Hebdo and burning of Quran in Sweden and anti Islam Norway incident.

MWM observed Hurmat-e-Quran and Namoos-e-Risalat (PUBU) Day on Friday across the country.
Rallies and demos held in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, rest of the country, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
MWM Sindh chapter secretary general Allama Syed Baqir Abbas Zaidi led Karachi’s rally outside Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Eemaan. Allama Mubashir Hassan, Allama Ali Anwar, Allama Nishan Hyder, Nasir Hussaini, Ahsan Abbas and other Karachi-based eminent figures also attended.
Protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against violation of Islamic sanctities.
They condemned French magazine Charlie Hebdo for reporting blasphemous caricature.
On the occasion, Allama Baqir Zaidi said that sacrilege of Islamic sanctities of 2 billion Muslims is tantamount to provoke and incite religious sentiments of 2 billion-strong Islamic Ummah.
He urged the French and Swede governments to declare the perpetrators of blasphemy against Islamic sanctities national offenders and ensure capital punishment to them.
Hujjatul Islam Baqir Zaidi further urged Islamic countries to break-off diplomatic and trade relations with those states who defend criminal activities against Islam.
God bless due to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)
He said God bless this universe and humanity due to his last apostle and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH); hence ensuring observing sanctity of the great infallible Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) remains requirement of Islamic honour.
He slammed the West that claims them civilized nations but in fact they are materialistic people and it has led them to decline.
Moreover, Allama Sadiq Jafari also addressed. He cited historical facts that whenever enemies of Islam and Muslims perpetrated blasphemy, Shia Muslims came forward to protest first.
He referred to the historic religious decree of Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini against blasphemous Satanic Verses authored by Salman Rushdie.
He and all the protester vowed to defend Islamic sanctities such as God, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Quran and others.
