They observe sacred mourning (called azadari) on 10th day of Moharram to pay homage to Imam Hussain and other martyrs of Karbala.

However, biased police tried to impede the traditional legal Ashura Day azadari procession.

After having failed, the biased SHO New Dumbalo police asked subordinates to lodge case.

Many Shia Muslim mourners were booked in the case over practicing Constitutionally and legally guaranteed fundamental right of azadari.

Background

New Dumbalo police cop facilitated ASWJ terrorists to ban Ashura azadari which Shia mourners hold in commemoration of martyrdom of Imam Hussain-led martyrs of Karbala.

Police constable Khalid Jarwar belongs to banned terrorist outfit Sipah Sahaba, mother wing of terrorist Lashkar e Jhangvi. Despite a low-grade cop, he is working as Station House Officer (SHO) of New Dumbalo police in district Badin.

Policeman Khalid Jarwar has threatened Shia mourners (azadars) not to take out Ashura azadari mourning procession as per schedule. Shia Muslims and likeminded Sunnis and even Hindus participate in Ashura mourning procession and congregation.

But the policeman Khalid Jarwar has threatened he would not allow Ashura procession on Sunday August 30. Instead, he is facilitating banned Sipah Sahaba terror outfit to hold an anti-Shia public meeting on Ashura Day.

Shia Muslims and likeminded Sunnis have urged Sindh Chief Minister and IG Sindh Police to dismiss policeman Khalid Jarwar. They demanded stern action against him. They also demanded action against sectarian fanatics who have planned public meeting on Ashura in Dumbalo.
