Three soldiers of Pakistan Army martyred in terrorist attack in South Waziristan.

According to ISPR, three soldiers embraced martyrdom on Saturday during a search operatio.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) further said that security forces conducted and operation in South Waziristan.

During that operation, terrorists fired at security forces’ blocking position.

ISPR identified the martyred soldiers as Subedar Nadeem, Sepoy Saleem and Lance Naik Musawar.

Four other soldiers were also injured.

In June 2020, terrorist firing took place 5 kilometres southeast of Ghariom near North Waziristan District and South Waziristan District boundary.

That left two soldiers and one terrorist dead during exchange of fire between a patrolling party of the security forces and a group of terrorists.

Earlier, Pakistan Army Chief visits Af Pak border in North Waziristan in the Dawatoi sector last week.

According to the ISPR, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Pak-Afghan border on Monday.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability.
He said the country is playing its part in this regard.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said: “We have to remain vigilant and steadfast to thwart hostile attempts to create chaos and reverse the gains of Operation Radd-Ul-Fasaad.”
