Pakistan Army chief vows to respond with full might if provoked.

Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said this  on Tuesday.

During his visit to the Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) for the handing over ceremony of Tank Al Khalid-1 to Armoured Corps Regiment, he said Pakistan Army would respond with “all our might” if provoked.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, he said our defence preparation and operational readiness is to ensure peace within and peace without.

The ISPR said Tank Al Khalid-1 is a joint venture with friendly countries China and Ukraine.

Furthermore, i said some of its outstanding capabilities include mobility, speed, bi-axis gun stabilisation of the control system and use of smoke screen to mask movement.

The military’s media wing said Al Khalid-1 will be handed over to formations, which have critical and decisive role during war.

Earlier, Senator Rehman Malik met Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss internal security situation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), their meeting held at the General Headquarters.

The ISPR said in a statement that matters related to defence and internal security came under discussion during the meeting.

According to the military’s media wing, Rehman Malik appreciated the army’s success in bringing peace to the country.

The Pakistan Peoples Party’s Senator pledged the support of the Senate Committee on Internal Security towards consolidating the gains.
