2 terrorists arrested arms, ammunition recovered

Two “terrorists” belonging to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were arrested in Rahim Yar Khan, regional police officer Bahawalpur said at a press conference.
Captain (Rtd.) Syed Abid Qadri, the RPO Bahawalpur said that they were involved in Khanpur chehlum blast and were planning to hit Imam Bargah Khairpur Chowk, Alipur district Muzaffar Garh through remote control bombs.
DPO Rahim Yar Khan Suhail Zafar Chatha and SP Shiraz Nazeer were also present at the press conference.
The RPO said that four kilos of explosive materials, detonators, electric circuit, pistol and bullets were recovered from the terrorists Master Mohammad Nawaz son of Mohammad Ramzan and Wajid son of Abdul Rasheed of Khanpur. The terrorists and recovered materials were shown to journalists. Police said that they foiled the attempt of terrorism on Monday by arresting the terrorists as they had planned destruction of Imam Bargah and thus human losses.
The RPO said that 24 persons were martyred in Khanpur blast.
