Pakistan to never recognize Israel: Parliament told

Pakistan to never recognize Israel, Parliament got assurance during its session today (Tuesday).

The Opposition party’s leader raised this issue amid rumours that the government had planned to do so.

Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri was chairing the session. He vowed that Pakistan has not recognized and would never accept Israel which is occupying the land of Palestinians.

Suri further said our hearts beat with the oppressed Palestinian people.

The PMLN leader Khawaja Asif who served Pakistan as defence minister in the previous government raised the issue.

It compelled Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to clarify the government’s position, in this regard.

The FM rebuffed the statements attributed to him and the Prime Minister about the recognition of Israel.

Shah Mahmood said there was no truth in those statements.

He said Pakistan has a historic stance on the issue.

The FM pledged Pakistan supports a two-state solution with Al-Quds Al-sharif as the Capital of Palestinian state.

However, pro-Palestine Pakistanis have expressed dismay over the repeated speculations on the issue.

Such dejected people have been expressing their anger public over any move against the wishes of Pakistani nation.

The great nation of Pakistan proudly follows the Palestine policy which founding fathers had publicly announced even prior to establishment of Pakistan.

All India Muslim League and its leaders had been categorically rejecting any Jewish state over Arab majority Palestine.
