Youm-ul-Quds to be observed

He said that SUC supporters would observe Quds Day to mark solidarity with oppressed Palestinians on a call from SUC leader Allama Sajid Naqvi.

Supporters of inalienable rights of Palestinians, including liberation of occupied Palestine observe International Quds Day or Youm-ul-Quds.

Originally, Imam Khomeini called for observance of Quds Day. Iranians became the first nation who observed Quds Day in 1980 while supporters of Palestine cause followed the suit.

In Pakistan, the predecessor of Allama Sajid Naqvi as TNFJ leader such as Allama Mufti Jafar Hussain and Allama Arif Hussaini and Imamia Students Organisation took the lead.

Now, almost all Shia Islamic parties and Sunni religion-political parties also observe Quds Day across Pakistan.

Sunni and Shia Muslims unanimously condemn Israel and Israeli crimes against humanity.

Historically, founding fathers of Pakistan rejected outright the Jewish state in Arab majority Palestine.

The world class Muslim nationalist Mohammad Ali Jinnah of then-undivided India and Dr Muhammmad Iqbal (Allama Iqbal) categorically rejected it prior to establishment of Israel.

All India Muslims, the founding party of Pakistan pursued that policy.
