Ban on azadari amounts to contempt of Shia Muslims, Allama Razi Jafar.
Veteran Shia Islamic scholar expressed these views while addressing a joint press conference in Karachi.

Allama Shahenshah Naqvi, MWM leader Allama Baqir Zaidi, Shia Ulema Council leader Allama Nazir Taqvi and other Shia organisations’ leaders compacted him.
The 21st Ramazan Youm-e-Ali mourning procession’s organising head Dr Ali Arif also spoke.
Shia Islamic parties’ leaders rejected the ban on azadari on pretext not being farz as contempt of Shia Muslims.
They cited the President and Prime Minister had allowed religious congregations on the condition of implementing the SOPs /preventive measures relating to COVID-19.
They said that Muslims are offering en bloc/congregational prayers under that approved policy.
Hence, they said Shia Muslims also have equal rights to hold their congregations while observing precautionary/preventive measure under the government’s SOPs.
They asked Sindh government to cooperate with the organisers of Youm-e-Ali mourning processions and congregations.
Furthermore, they asked the Sindh government to shoulder its responsibility by ensuring spray and cleanliness on the route of the procession and venues of congregations.
Shia leaders said that some elements have hatched conspiracy through biased and discriminatory restrictions on azadari.
They apprehended that the plotters might intend to embroil Sindh government in this plot against azadari.
Leaders from Markazi Tanzeem-e-Azadari, Imamia Students Organisation, Scouts Rabia Council, Markazi Tanzeem-e-Aza, Jafaria Alliance, Payam-e-Wilayat, Shia Action Committee, Majlis Zakireen-e-Imamia, Haiyat Aimma Masajid also attended the meeting.
