Allama Raja Nasir talks to Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri on Youm-e-Ali related matters.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari held telephonic conversation with Federal Minister.
He asked the minister Qadri to take notice of those hampering holding of Youm-e-Ali azadari (mourning).
He further asked him to play his due role in ensuring that Shia Muslims religious rights must remain protected.
Earlier, he told the media yesterday that the MWM had dispatched letters to President and Prime Minister and Minister for Religious Affairs.
He rejected ban on Youm e Ali azadari during Ramazan.
MWM Pakistan secretary general said that administration was trying to ban azadari congregations on martyrdom anniversary of Amir al Maumineen Maula Ali (AS).
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad he also asked the government to refrain from impeding mourners.
He said any restriction on azadari (sacred mourn) on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) is not acceptable.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari said that in this regard they have sent letters to President and Prime Minister.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leader further said that they have also sent letter to Minister for Religious Affairs.
He had also shared his views during meetings of President and Prime Minister with Islamic scholars in this regard.
Moreover, he made clear Shia Muslims would not accept unfair and biased decisions based on double standards.
