Four terrorists of AlQaeda subcontinent arrested in Karachi during a raid on their hideout.

Sindh police announced their arrest in a press release on Sunday.

They identified the terrorists as Muhammad Umar, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Amir.

Special Investigation Unit of Sindh Police and a federal intelligence agency arrested them in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area in a joint raid.

Meanwhile, SIU SSP Irfan Bahadur told the media that they seized weapons and explosive material, including 10 detonators, three grenades, and two Kalashnikovs, from their possession.

The terrorists had plotted to use weapons to carry out terrorist attacks in Karachi.

He said the militants had also carried out recce for the purpose.

The police officer said that the militants had got training in Afghanistan as the group’s chief Muhammad Hanif alias Zarar alias Ayoub is also residing in the neighbouring country.

Terrorists were planning to carry out attacks on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the City Courts, the Police Training Centre and offices of the law enforcement agencies.
