Allama Sibtain Sabzwari accuses govt of causing mental torture to Zaireen through forced stay on the pretext of quarantine for over a month.

Shia Ulema Council North Punjab chapter leader said that he had sent report of current situation to his party head Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi.

He said that government continues to keep Zaireen under custody despite their negative test reports.

He further said that the government has impounded Zaireen (pilgrims) at temporary jails in the name of jails.

Allama Sibtain condemned the inhuman maltreatment and threats to the Zaireen (pilgrims) who had returned to the country via Taftan border crossing.

He said he had postponed media conference outside Gaddafi Stadium Lahore quarantine centre on directives of Allama Sajid Naqvi.

However, he said that SUC’s concerned districts officials were making earnest efforts to help Zaireen in current critical situation.
