MWM officials visit Iran consulate for condolences over Qassem Soleimani, the Iranian miliary general whom US assassinated in illegal airstrikes in Baghdad.

The high level delegation called on Consul General Ahmad Mohammadi at consulate in Karachi.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi led delegation included Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi and Allama Sadiq Jafari.

Allama Malik Ghulam Abbas, Mir Taqi Zafar also accompanied the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen officials.

Haj Qassem-led martyrs

While sharing his views on the occasion, Allama Hassan Zafar paid trbutes to Haj Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi Mhandis and other martyrs.

Furthermore, he noted the martyrdoms made Islam, Muslims and oppressed humanity triumphant due to illegal and irresponsible US attacks.

Meanwhile, Iran consular general Ahmad Mohmmadi thanked them and Pakistani nation over their support and sympathy.

Haj Qassem and Mohandis Abu Mahdi

Iraq Government had officially requested Iranian military help to counter terrorism. IRGC Quds Force commander Haj Qassem Soleimani was helping Iraq government becaause of the request.

Abu Mahdi Mohandis was leading Hashd al Shaabi or Popular Mobilisation Force that too was helping Iraq government against Daesh terrorists.

Both of them enjoyed legitimacy and played legitimate role. But, US military perpertrated airstrikes defying Iraq government.

Hence, US Baghdad airstrikes amounted to an attack on Iraq sovereignty in violation of international law.

Pakistani nation is expressing solidarity with Iran. Prominent politicians and former diplomats of Pakistan also offer condolences by visiting Iran diplomatic missions.

Rallies across Pakistan paid homage to Soleimani and Mohandis Abu Mahdi.
