Now details of the team of three culprits have come to surface. Shooter Bilal fired while Hasnain and Mustafa alias Kali Charan accompanied him.
Police have arrested Abdul Haseeb, M Ghazali, M Farooque and Abu Bakar for facilitating the crime. However, one Junaid also had facilitated the killers.
The terrorists ambushed Syed Ali Raza Abidi, 46, outside his home in Karachi on Christmas 2018.
Mr Abidi had resigned from MQM in September 2018 for personal reasons. However, he also served Pakistan as Member of National Assembly.
The gunmen opened fire on Mr Abidi’s car as he arrived home. The assailants fled on a motorbike. Mr Abidi later died in hospital.
Many believe that sectarian takfiri terrorists might have targeted him because he challenged outlawed Sipah Sahaba (ASWJ-LeJ).
He raised voice against Shia genocide even in legislature. That boldness and steadfastness on righteous stance cost him his life.
