Foreign Office issued a statement wherein it welcomed announcement regarding resumption of the US-Taliban talks.

Furthermore, it hoped that the process would lead to intra-Afghan dialogue and ultimately to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.

According to FO, Pakistan encourages all parties to the conflict to engage constructively as a shared responsibility.

Moreover, it noted that Pakistan always maintained no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan. And an inclusive peace and reconciliation process, involving all segments of the Afghan society remains the only practical way forward.
