Eminent Shia leader Allama Syed Mohammad Dehlavi remembered

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chief of Shia Ulema Council, has praised Allama Syed Mohammad Dehlavi saying that he laid the foundation of peaceful struggle and democratic approach to attain the legitimate rights of Shia Muslims in Pakistan.

“The caravan that began under the leadership of Allama Dehlavi was continued under the leadership of Mufti Jafar Hussain and Allama Arif Hussaini and now we continue this caravan, he said in a message on death anniversary of Allama Dehlavi.

Allama Naqvi said that even today Shiites were the prime target of takfiri terrorists but they demonstrated patience and follow the ideology of peaceful struggle that was inculcated by Allama Dehlavi, Mufti Jafar Hussain and Allama Arif Hussaini. But, he hastened to add, the government never appreciated the patience of Shia Muslims.

He said that role of Allama Syed Mohammad Dehlavi in Pakistani politics was prominent. He called him first leader of Pakistani Shia Muslims. He recalled that Shia Ulema Council has recently observed the death anniversary of Allama Dehlavi.
