Kashmiri Shia leader Jamaat Ali Shah laid to rest in Barnala tehsil after his funeral prayers held in Iftikharabad village.
Notably, Shia Ulema Council leader Allama Arif Wahidi led the prayers.
Historically, Kashmiri Shia leader Jamaat Ali Shah remained affiliated with Shia Ulema Council (SUC). He served thwe SUC Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter as general secretary.
Prior to his death, Shah was serving Allama Sajid Naqvi’s party as member of political cell.
Moreover, Allama Arif Wahidi led his funeral prayers and also offered condolences. Furthermore, he read condolence message of Allama Sajid Naqvi.
Meanwhile, he also showered Jamaat Ali Shah with praise.
Allama Wahidi cited unwavering struggle of Shah for the legitimate cause of Kashmir. He also referred to his leading efforts of intra-Islamic unity and harmony.
The SUC leader noted huge presence of people irrespective of their sectarian affiliation as proof of Shah’s popularity.
Shia Ulema Council remains active as an important party in Pakistan, AJK and GB. Since Allama Sajid Naqvi’s original party TJP faced uncalled for ban, he had to from other platforms.
However, MWM emerged as more popular party of Shia communtiy. AJK also has presence of both the parties.
But, Allama Sajid Naqvi remains senior leader as compared to MWM leadership.
