Prime Minister of Pakistan reminds UN of responsibility on Kashmir
Prime Minister Imran Khan has reminded United Nations of its responsibility on Kashmir dispute when he addressed UNGA.
His dashing address at the UN General Assembly session in New York on Friday evoked audience applause repeatedly.
“The world community has a responsibility to ensure that Kashmiris get their right to self-determination,” he said, citing it enshrined in several UN Security Council resolutions.
Furthermore, PM Khan emphasised the United Nations must urge India to immediately lift the inhuman curfew continuing for over fifty days.
Moreover, he demanded release of all the political detainees, including the youth in IOK.
However, he also taunted the international community, saying it’s not time to appease a market of 1.3 billion people. But, (it’s time) to take concrete action to avert a brewing humanitarian crisis.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister warned of serious consequences of a war between two nuclear armed countries. He pointed that the consequences will go far beyond the borders in case of war.
