Shia Muslims observe azadari in Kashmir defying Indian ban

Shia Muslims in Kashmir came out of their homes to observe azadari in commemoration of Martyrs of Karbala.

Notably, they raised slogans of Ya Hussain beating their chest and condemned Indian forces brutalities in held-Kashmir.

Unfortunately, India has also imposed uncalled for ban on mourning congregations and processions during Moharram. But, Shia Muslims have turned down Indian ban.

Moreover, social media has circulated video footage showing Indian forces torturing azadars in streets.

However, Kashmiri Shia Muslims continue to observe sacred mourning to pay homage to Imam Hussain-led Martyrs of Karbala. They also condemned Indian measures against Kashmiris.
