Pakistan expects strong support from Muslim world against India: FM

People of Pakistan and Kashmiris expect strong support from the Muslim world. Hence it is very important to give a clear and unambiguous signal of support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people now.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told this to Saudi and UAE ministers during their joint visit to Islamabad yesterday.

Earlier, Mr Qureshi received the two dignitaries at the Noor Khan Airbase.

The Saudi minister of state on foreign affairs and UAE foreign minister visited Pakistan after direct telephone calls by Prime Minister Imran Khan to the two countries’ crown princes.

Notably, Qureshi expressed concern over deteriorating human rights and humanitarian situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.

Furthermore, he said that India violated international law and UNSC resolutions. He further said that India’s recent actions also in violation of bilateral agreements like Simla pact.

Moreover, Qureshi cited that India violated its own solemn commitments.  Because, Indian actions aimed at changing the globally acknowledged disputed status of Kashmir and altering its demographic structure and identity.

He underscored that the indefensible lockdown and curfew in the occupied territory had entered its fifth week. He lamented that it had subjected 9 million Kashmiris to unspeakable suffering. Apart from these illegal actions, India’s ceasefire violations on the Line of Control have also intensified.
