Pakistan senior diplomat sees Iran absolutely right against US

Former Ambassador of Pakistan to India Abdul Basit said that Iran remains absolutely right against US on 2015 N-deal.
In an interview, he analysed the facts and opposed US policy against Iran and particularly US unilateral sanctions.

Former diplomat cited that the US had already withdrawn from the JCPOA but now asking for more things.

He expressed surprise that the US wants Iran to do beyond that deal. He referred to US demands on ballistic missiles and issues in Middle East.

Abdul Basit noted that since the United Nations and P5+1 process remain already there, so he finds it very strange why the US imposed unilateral sanctions on Iran.

Therefore, he saw the US policy on Iran nothing but confused. He also opposed US sanctions on Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Furthermore, ex-diplomat of Pakistan hailed Zarif as very articulate and active and one of the most prominent foreign ministers he ever seen.

He further praised Zarif as the world class eminent diplomat and whatever he says in conformity with his command and credibility.

Moreover, Abdul Basit called Javad Zarif an asset for Iran. But, he hastened to add that whatever an asset for Iran (always remain) a matter of concern for the US.
