Shiite News: We strongly condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden. Hurting the sentiments of the Muslim world is a very criminal act, which cannot be allowed under the guise of freedom of expression. President MWM, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri has made this in a statement issued to the MWM media cell.
He has said that the hideous face of the so-called western world, which calls itself civilized, should be exposed to the whole world by such criminal acts.
The desecration of the Holy Qur’an clearly shows that human values have been violated. The disease of Islamophobia is increasing in the western countries, on which the heart of every conscientious person, including Muslims, is saddened and concerned, and it is a natural process to have a strong reaction from the Muslim world on this provocative act.
He said that no religion ever allows insulting the sanctities of other religions, which offends one’s religious sentiments and hurts one’s heart, but it has to be said with deep sadness that this criminal act has been repeated one after another in western society.
But the double standard of the organizations that give the Nobel Prize in the name of human rights and world peace is reprehensible.
The relevant governments also do not punish the people involved in this criminal act, owing to which the holy places of Muslims are being destroyed in Western countries day by day. Incidents of desecration are becoming a common practice.
